We should all know by now that political ads (from any side) are massive mounds of bull—ony. :P If you don't have the following in your political ad, then you are NOT a true politician:
a) Attacks on your opponent.
b) A dulled picture of your opponent with intense music humming along as the picture fades into darkness.
c) A puppy and/or baby in your arms — God knows a politician only touches a baby around election time.
d) Oh, and let's throw in a visit to the old folks home or a walk through a local school, shaking people's hands.
e) Ah but I can't forget the most important part: A copy of the infamous transcript that every single politician uses to lie to the public through. That, "It's time for change and here's another promise I definitely won't keep" script.

Thankfully, someone has common sense. I too am getting tired of the ads on the radio, ads on the TV, and the computerized phone calls tarting about the other candidate(s).

I am a Republican/conservative. Despite that, I respect ANYONE with opinions contrary to mine as long as they state their thoughts reasonably.

I liked your analysis of Michigan's proposals. Very close to my thoughts on the subject.
