Bond, James Bond.
So over the weekend I saw James Bond:Casino Royale I have never really seen a James Bond movie before, it was okay but a few things have been bugging the heck out of me from the movie, even durning the movie!
Heres a small list.
Mr. Bond at first drives a Ford… I’m sorry that image will hunt me for a while. (meh maybe it will help boose Michigan’s econ. a bit :r)
Too much lovey dovey not enought explosions (Think Star Wars II: AotC)
Blond hair :r (I mean is it that hard to die hair black or a very dark brown we see goth kids do it all the time :r)
Too much card playing not enought explosions…(think World poker games on ESPN)
This was supose to take place before the bond movies (which take place durning the hight of the cold war) yet we see laptops and cell phones a’plenty and SONY ones at that. Also they referance the fall of the USSR and 9/11 though out the movie yet the events did not even happen yet.
None of the classic famious Bond open music, (you know his theme) oh and the opening was too long IMHO compaired to the classic gun sight one, and contariy to popular beleave in the start of the movie he did have 00 statis M even saids so.
I think that is it.

I haven’t seen it yet, so I can’t say much on THAT, but I am a bit worried about the blonde hair a bit. I see bond as tall dark and handsome.
That means that he’s not allowed to be blonde.

imho this bond is much more cooler than the previous one. its up to the director to put as much as explosion as he wants, remember the title “casino royale” its all about gambling, money etc

I know it is up to the director yet one is entitled to one’s own options of a movie.

Meh, Bond films have never been good on continuity…

According to wikipedia, James got 00 status due to the (black and white) opening scene. After the (you hate it, I love it, though it is long) intro, he does have 00 status, yet.
Also, I don’t get it.. they want to take that french guy in, so why wait untill your done with the card game? It would be more 007 to just blow the casino up and hope the guy doesn’t die, just gets wounded so badly he can’t run away. :/
